As for it being unusual...I'm thinking BobnBev think it's not often The Sun reports these things but I'd say it's not so anymore. We see postings all the time.

That's got to be crazy scary for you all, that many traffic accidents. Most of the accidents around here are on the interstate during rush hour, or during snow storms. The rest of the time it's almost always just a fender bender, no injuries, no one getting tossed out of vehicles. Then again we don't have golf carts, or an influx of people during any particular season. We're over 100,000 all year round in our part of the state, not including the actual city, which has an additional 131,000
