Explosion Sounds Tonight
What is happening? I live in Santiago, and starting about 6 PM we heard very loud explosive sounds. Just heard another and it is now 9:15. Our house shook with the early evening ones.

We are in the north end near Mulberry Grove, we heard them and have no idea what they could be.

Sometimes there is blasting in the Ocala forest.

Sorry. Had baked beans for dinner! :boom:

Shock and awe! Bad guys work at night too. |
I don't remember exactly how I did it but it may have been by a phone call and I had them put me on an email notification list two years ago. They give you a warning several days before the blasting so nobody gets upset. A whole gang of our friends were twisted up about this tonight. The text messages flying back and forth made the phone sound like a Popcorn Maker. They have been doing it for a long time and some of the artillery are live and some are not. It all occurs in the Ocala Forest. Practice makes perfect. They clear the area of the majority of wildlife before the festivities begin.
My explanation is a ballpark estimate don't bust me on details as it was a long time ago that I investigated what the noise was all about. When I get the emails I browse over it quickly but just know something is going to be going on shortly. Bless our Troops. |
