Sinkholes

Does anyone have any knowledge of sinkhole activity in The Villages of Sumter County? We currently have a sinkhole rider on our insurance policy and wonder if this is necessary. I don't believe it would cover simple settling of interior cracks or door frames out of alignment.:)
