Mail room break-in
 

The mail room by Hacienda CC was broken into this week-end. Mail was gone thru and boxes were opened. The police were there, today, but no more information from me at this time. So far, it has not made it into the other online paper.

I'm not an atty but, mail theft is actually a Federal Crime.
I assume, I HOPE, they have video.

We have been living with mail theft in Albuquerque along with much worse for many years now. I have learned to check my mail soon after it has been delivered. Important outgoing mail is driven to the post office. Hopefully, this will be a rare event.

Crime of all types occurring more and more every day, in America's Friendliest home town. As we grow, so will the crime rate.:welcome:

Video cameras at the mail stations? Not likely.

Yes Chula Vista, and it was in the villages news dot com site early this morning, if that's what was meant by the other on line news site

Hacienda mail room break in. No mistake!!
 

The break in that I posted about was at the Hacienda station, near the cc. There may have been two break ins.

Remember you can sign up with the PO to get an email of todays mail. That might help you know if you are missing mail.

I did not know about any email service by the PO. Seriously, when did they start this service?
