The access from Savannah Center to Azteca Loop
 

I've had two different people (neither in official capacity) tell me there is a move afoot to close the golf cart access to Azteca Loop from Savannah Center parking lot. Does anybody know any official poop about this?

As long as they close it both ways I have no problem. No one in and no one out.

Considering the speed bumps and stop signs and recent spate of ticketing proving that the speed bumps and stop signs aren't working, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the idea behind the tickets. I can't blame the residents of the villas. All the carts have got to be a great nuisance to them. At the same time, I hope they wait to close it until after they've improved the El Camino golf cart path.

Azteca Loop Residents remember the old saying"Watch out what you ask for,your liable to get it".Its a long ride to the Center or the pool via Santiago gate.

Maybe the suggestion has been proposed by some of those who got the tickets. Wouldn't surprise me. Instead of inconveniencing those people who live there, just stop at the signs and/or don't speed...problem solved.

Why not just remove the speed bumps and stop signs and put the stop signs on those three streets that intersect with that portion of Azteca. Like it is in other villa units.

I am not quite ready to expect any action. If all goes to form, take the Morse Blvd - San Marino red light for an example, we still have four traffic studies, and many, many, board meetings of delibetation to wait through before any decision will be made.

They tried just the stop signs but some drivers blew through them like they weren't there. Hence the speed bumps.

And with the speed bumps, some drivers do the weave and go between the speed bumps and blow through the stop signs.

That is why the cops sit and make a little extra money for the county.
