Length of trash pieces

What is the maximum length of pieces of trash that will be picked up?

I thought all trash had to be in bags unless you are talking about a special pickup or yard waste. If you are talking about a special pickup, discuss it with them wen you call to schedule. The following link is for Sumter County but there are numbers in there to call for Lake County.

I just put out 4 florescent light tubes----4' each. They took them, no questions.

I suspect no longer then the width of the hopper and/or a length that can easily and safely be handled by one person

Slip them some green. They will make it fit.

If it's yard waste, I always cut my palm fronds into sections; no reason other than to make it easier for the guys to put it into the trucks.

Beyond a doubt, NoMoSno answered the question. Rough job in this heat. I'll bet they would enjoy a Bottle of Water also.

Just wondering why they don't do the Garbage or Recycling Pickup in one pass going down any road? There has to be a real reason. I asked the Sanitation Engineer Directly and he said I Dunno! :ohdear:

I left a 5 foot goose neck pole lamp out last week and they took it.
Seems like as long as it fits the bin on the back of the truck, and they can pick it up, they will take it.

Big....large heavy pieces call in and they will make an appointment to come and get it.
