Spanish Springs Web Cam Down Again

Please don't try to adjust your set but it looks as if the Spanish Springs web cam is down again. It was down during the day yesterday and then was back up late in the afternoon but was very blurry. It was still up early this morning at daybreak and I see that it is down again.

It looks like it is back but it is pointing at Margarita Republic and the Church on the Square.

Spanish Springs webcam?

What is the web address of the webcam? Is there also a webcam for LSL?

Web Cam Address

Go to: http://www.thevillages.com/lifestyle/cam_ss.asp

At the bottom is the link for LSL.

I was watching the St Patrick's parade in the SS camera and they were moving it around so you could watch the parade. It was interesting.

I know this has been mentioned before on this forum, but this link takes me to Yahoo (for some crazy reason) when I click on it. I was able to get to the web cam, however, by typing the address in my browser. So, if you are having the same issue just type out the address. What appears to be a space between "cam" and "ss" is actually an underscore. In other words... cam_ss.

Easy way to view

I find the easiest way to access the web cams is to click on the temperature in the upper right corner of The Villages homepage. You may have to install a viewer. It will bring up Lake Sumter Landing and to see Spanish Springs, just click at the link below the image. Since I already have The Villages website in my favorites, it makes it easy to view the web cams. By doing this, I never have to worry about whether the link is correct or not. This is just my opinion . . .

Just put the url in your favorite places...it will work every time.

If any link on TOTV takes you to someplace else, do a copy and paste into a browser window and it will take you to the correct place.

Then, if you like it, save it in your Favorites/bookmarks and you can then access it directly.
