Kamani Morris is a very talented and Certified Arborist. His positive reputation precedes him and is truly earned.

He came by to inspect our crape myrtle and provided an estimate to clean and prune it. His estimate was very reasonable. He kept to his schedule to take care of the task and provided before and after pics as well as one showing the pile of branches he removed.

We highly recommend Kamani as so many others have. His number is* (352) 446-5043‬

Never thought I needed to "clean" my crepe myrtle.
Was it dirty?

I first saw Crepe Myrtles when I was a patient at Mayo in Jacksonville. They have a serenity sitting area with crepe myrtles planted as shade trees. They have been expertly grown and pruned to be in excess of 30ft tall and the tops of the branches have been thinned and shaped like an umbrella. They are incredibly beautiful.

When we planted a Natchez we asked Tree Frog to prune our tree and we have kept it up since then. It is a beautiful specimen of what a Crepe Myrtle can look like if treated properly. I get sick when I see what people do to their Myrtles when they "murder" them.

Yes, Karnani aka Tree Frog is exceptionally talented and worth the cost.

Crape myrtle

Crape Myrtle is a broad name for an extensive group of plants. There a more than fifty named varieties of Crape Myrtle and they range in mature height of 10 feet to 30 feet plus.

Crape Murder is the current buzzword for what people have decided is improper pruning. The crape myrtle will respond to what you do to it. Fortunately, they are hard to kill. They are however easy to mess up with improper pruning.

Ours was put in by the builder so I do not know for sure what variety it is. The plant structure is small tree like-two major trunks. It is currently about 20 feet high. It would never be the multi stemmed plant in the OP.
