"You won't be disappointed" - not exactly a glowing endorsement of anything. Isn't that the same as "well, I didn't hate it". Have yet to try the chicken at McCalls. But agree on the soft serve at Ambrosia.

We went to McCall's last night for the "World Famous Fried Chicken Dinner". It was mediocre at best. I've had better fried chicken. It really wasn't bad, I just don't understand what the fuss is all about.

The one complaint that I had was that there were a few pieces of batter that were hard as a rock.

Believe it or not, the best fried chicken came from Publix Deli counter. Not exactly a restaurant, but great fried chicken.

If you're from certain parts of the country, "You won't be disappointed" means something is very good.

I believe it we love their fried chicken. We recently took 2 boxes to a pot luck dinner. A guy who sat at our table asked, “wow who made this great friend chicken?”

My favorite is Popeye's spicy chicken.
