Has its advantages. More revenue for state. Illegals able to get insurance. Better chance of finding them if the need arises.

There is just something wrong when there is no penalty for being ILLEGAL!!

So sad. More money for the government. Soon to be more votes. There is no penalty for being illegal any more. So sad.

New Mexico has given drivers' licenses to illegal aliens for years; now California is doing it. It reached a point people were not going to be able to use their NM licenses as IDs to board domestic commercial flights so the state has had to start granting two types of licenses. When I renewed last time I had to bring my NJ birth certificate, US passport and more to get. a "Real ID" license which would get me through TSA. What a pain.

Does any other country grant drivers licenses to aliens who are there illegally?

I am more concerned of many seniors in Florida that have drivers licenses than illegals.

I agree. They are going to drive anyway. If you were hit by one of them who was mot forced to have insurance, you w:mademyday:ould be in deep do do.
