replace bench slats
 

not sure where to post this, any recommendations on someone to replace wooden slats in my chevrolet bench? wood slats rotted. thanks.

You could try the villages woodworking club, the shop is on Rolling Acres Road, north of 466, they may be able to help. If you have the original manufacturer info, you can contact them to see if they have replacement slats. You could also try a Google or Amazon search for replacement slats. I am strongly suggesting replacement slats, as there is a lot of work making new slats from scratch. Once you find these replacement is generally simple, but i could do it or give you a hand if necessary, I just do not want to get involved in hand making 10 or more replacement slats. Once you get the replacement slat, be sure these are properly finished for outdoor use, and then follow up with refinishing as necessary.
