They also do a small battery of tests on your blood to see if it is acceptable for donation as well as asking you fill out a form with about fifty questions about your health and travel history.

I donated last week and my blood was needed immediately for a transfusion for a baby.


Life South is another entity that collect blood for patients. It is sometimes in the Villages too. That is in one of their blood mobiles though. Florida Blood Centers also has a blood mobile that you often see in the Villages.
