Kitchen table as part of island?
 

This idea is intriguing to me. While the color scheme might not be one I would choose, wondering if anyone out there has attached their table to the kitchen island? Thanks.

We actually did something similar by up north. I bought additional cabinets, and built an island on wheels with the cabinets, then purchased a piece of matching granite. Since this was the same height as the normal base units, we used bar height chairs. Most of the time this was against the one wall and used for breakfast or lunch, When we had a larger function, it was moved to the center of the kitchen as a serving table. this worked our great and provided lots of additional storage.
