Diversity in The Villages

Does anyone know if The Villages attempts to attract people from all cultures? With the current stats, I would guess the answer is no. Does anyone know the real answer?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c850445b9f.jpg

The brochure for Lifestyles shows a lovely colored lady.... another question might be, does TV do anything to discourage diversity? Before someone gets offended, I really don’t know the answer.

A "colored" lady? What is that about? Maybe people are aware of such thinking and decide that this might not a receptive place to live.

So not politically correct.

TV attempts to attract anyone with the bucks. It’s a business, folks.

The color The Villages attempts to attract is green. ANY individual is welcome.

As stated above if you like it and can afford it then you come no matter what color, religion, politics or what ever other things the diversity frenzy of the day feeds upon.

The only measure is how old and can one write the check.
Then the chips and results fall where they may.

Most likely very much like where most of us came from.

Good lord. This is 2019; African-Americans are no longer referred to as "colored" people.

How about apologizing to people you've offended?

Velvet 04-12-2019 06:01 PM

Sorry, I’m not familiar with the term you guys use, whichever is politically correct, that’s the one I meant.

Over react much? The Villages is .40% African American. If they're offended let them speak for themselves. All this mock outrage is getting old.

I have seen the THE BLUE MAN GROUP. They are great fun!

 :boom: :22yikes:

Don't think he even lives here, so not sure of his knowledge base.

But in response to your inquiry in the OP, I worked for The Villages and am familiar with key players. Having said that, I would be totally shocked if The Villages did anything but market The Villages as what it is, and race or ethnicity does not enter into marketing. Green money is the color they seek.
