Why is a hospital offering classes on fake cures and placebos? Adding the "authority" implied in using the name of the hospital can only increase the confusion and mistaken use of non-scientific and unproven substances. Frankly I hope the doctors and the nurses that actually work there are trained well enough to know that selling "essential oils" to treat any illness is not FDA approved and the products themselves are essentially unregulated. And that a gluten free diet is important only if you have proven celiac disease and otherwise there is almost no evidence of benefit, although some in very limited and carefully selected populations. Sleep hygiene, great. Stress reduction, go for it. But the decision of a hospital to try to become a wellness spa is troubling. Maybe that 1 star rating pushed them toward "if we can't do real medical care right, maybe we can get 5 stars for something else" The classes are free. You get what you pay for.
