College Baseball

Anyone follow college baseball? We have 3 nationally highly ranked teams in this state, FSU, Florida, and of course my Miami Hurricanes.

Those Gators are playing real tough right now. I've seen a few of their games this year and they have alot to look forward to. I think they're the best of the three but at that level, it just depends on the day.

You're right, it does depend on the day. Every year Florida seems to go like gangbusters then collapse near the end. They never won a world series. I like FSU'S chances this year.

Last June, some of us LSU fans watched the word series at one of the country clubs in TV. Might happen for us again this June.

other college baseball opportunities

we love college baseball, go to most of the OSU home games in the spring, and probably will still see about half of them when we're snowbirds soon. Have been to 2 or 3 gators' games (seems unlikely, but we've adopted U of F as our second team, as long as they're not playing The Buckeyes), but their stadium could really use a roof, or at least a canvas tarp over part of the stands. Sun can be brutal. U of F has a beautiful campus, check it out if you haven't yet, as well as Flagler College in St. Augustine and Rollins College in Winter Park, and Stetson in Deland.

Many of the eastern midwest and other east side of the country college baseball teams play in a lot of Florida area spring tournaments before their league games start. OSU is down somewhere south, mostly Florida, beginning late February for about 5 weekends and all of spring break. We can't wait to go. Any of you college baseball fans should check out your team's schedules. Lots of fun. It's also lots cheaper than spring training for the major league teams and you get to see more of the actual starting players.

Would be great if all us college baseball fans got together and watch the World Series regardless of who we are for. Lets pick a place and wear our shirts and have a good time. After all we're seeing the Major League players of the near future.

My Canes are out of it, so my 2nd team are the Noles. My son is an FSU grad and will be in Omaha fri for the 1st game. I'm pulling against the Gators though for sure.

The Criminoles won't last. They were lucky to get there.

Never watched college baseball before, but I'm finding it interesting this year. They seem to move along much faster than the MLB games, which, for the Yankees, sometimes last 4 hours for a 9 inning, low scoring game.

Everyone who makes it to the college world series (8 teams) have a chance. The Gators are a young team with quite a few freshman and sophmores. If not this year then maybe next. They beat out my Canes who are also very young.
I heard that attending the college world series is an event to remember. The vendors outside the stadium really make it an unique experience. The stadium holds over 20,000 and tickets are very hard to get

I always enjoy the CWS. Lots of spirit and usually exciting games. I just don't like the clink of the aluminum bats.
