Your Humane Society SPCA - New Name, Same Mission

1 Attachment(s)
04/22/2019 Lake Panasoffkee, FL – The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County, Inc. announces that it will begin doing business as YOUR HUMANE SOCIETY SPCA. The new name is shorter and easier while honoring the history of their 37 years as a no-kill organization. The new name was chosen to emphasize the strong personal relationship they have with their community in their lifesaving work, to help eliminate confusion with Sumter County government facilities and to broaden their reach in the area.

While their name and logo will change, the mission of YOUR HUMANE SOCIETY SPCA remains the same: The mission of YOUR HUMANE SOCIETY SPCA is to protect animals. The mission is carried out through direct care for animals that are injured, abused, unwanted, or abandoned, securing homes for as many as possible; and through community assistance programs including spay/neuter services and pet food distribution as well as providing humane education and pet safety information to their community in order to reduce pet overpopulation and improve the quality of life for animals.

As always, the public is invited to visit their campus at 994 CR 529A in Lake Panasoffkee to meet their team of staff and volunteers and of course the animals in their care.

YOUR HUMANE SOCIETY SPCA is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill shelter helping animals in need. Donations directly help to cover the cost of saving, treating, and caring for neglected, abused and abandoned animals. Learn more about YOUR HUMANE SOCIETY SPCA at Adopt Pet | Central Fl | Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County,FL, 352-793-9117, on Facebook or at the shelter located at 994 CR 529A, in Lake Panasoffkee, Mon.-Fri. 8am-5pm and Sat. 8am-4pm.
