Cost of Basic Birdcage?

We’re one of those rare homes that have nothing but a concrete patio in the back. Can you folks give me a rough estimate of how much a basic Birdcage would cost? Nothing fancy. Just a screen enclosure where we could put some outdoor furniture and keep the bugs out. :)

Thanks.

Really need to know the size. Big difference between 8' x 10' and 20' x 30', and 2 sides vs. 3 sides.

Call Thumpers garage screens, for an estimate. He is great. His bird cage division is Cooks Aluminum. He has an ad in the Daily Sun

Our 3 side 25 by 25 birdcage with new concrete slab cost around $18k. This also included, relocation of irrigation, installation of electrical receptacles, etc. Since this was done be a single contractor i do not have a cost breakdown.

~$40/sf.

Depends if you have pillars.

Make sure you know if there is a footer under the pad, is it slopped properly, is their conduit for power under the pad plus a bunch more questions. You might need to have the pad adjusted. Then ther is the strength of the framework, mesh on the screen, access to the outside and security. roof line, insulation, rain deflection. It could really crank you up if someone here gave you an estimate then when you got the price for your lanai and there was a wide distance. My question, why ask here when you can get a chosen contractor to give you the estimate that applies to you?

Because we’re just beginning to think about it. A wild ball park is all I’m looking for with this post.

And I would never be shocked or upset if contractor quotes turned out higher. I understand the variables involved and would never proceed without much more research and homework.

My outside area has about and 8 foot by 12 foot open area - no screen - and I have no bug problem. Might just try using the area and see if you have a bug problem.
