Question on Fl Drivers License

Not sure when to make an address change on my drivers license.
My lease on my rental home ends at the end of June then I plan on going up north for a couple of months.
My new house rental starts on Sept. 1st.
So for the two months that I am out of the villages do I need to
notify the DMV about my driver's license address????

Why don't you call or stop in at 7375 Powell Road Wildwood, FL 34785. Sometimes the advice you get on this site is just wrong.

You should check of course, but your driver license is tied to the state of your domicile. If your legal residence is in another state, I do not know of any requirement to notify your legal residence state DMV of temporary location elsewhere, or to notify the DMV in a location where you are staying temporarily.

I'm from NY and I changed my drivers license to a Florida license 2 or 3 months before I actually moved to The Villages. Didn't seem to be a problem!

Seriously, stop in and ask these folks. You will probably find it to be a pleasant experience as they are the friendliest, most helpful and efficient staff I've ever run into at a driver's license office in any state!
