Today the sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer, located at 23.5 degrees north and the Earth’s north pole is tilted furthest towards the sun. First day of summer and the longest day of the year.

May be the first day of the astronomical summer but hardly the first day here.

Yep. Makes my Druid DNA very happy. But my evil twin knows this means days now get shorter, until the Autumn Equinox (Sept. 23rd) when day equals night, and Chevrolet (Equinox) dealers give out free candy. Or something like that.
