Reccomendation for home inspection company?
 

Looking for a recommendation for a home inspection company or home inspector, to inspect a previously owned home in TV. Costs? Thanks

Home Inspection
 

I used House Master Inspection, Steve Slightcap 352-243-4553. The charge is $275 and is paid at closing. He is very thorough.

Comer Inspection Services - fully certified and registered - 352.323.5715 - very, very thorough! we liked him because he is not affiliated with the villages; nor was he recommended by our realtor. fees are commensurate with the local prevailing rates. we used him a year ago, so i cannot speak to his current charge.

That is interesting, how TV gives you a list of home and termite inspectors, but they are not in alphabetical order.I'm sure they are all very good, i just would like to know how you get listed at the top????? :shrug:;)

We used Comer too last august. I' ve been in the construction industry for forty years. This guy was excellent. I think he was around $300.00

We used A-1 Villages Home Inspections....had it done a month or so before our home warranty expired.

He found a couple of biggies...there was no - repeat no - insulation in our house and the cap shingles on our roof were bad.

Well worth the 200 bucks he charged.

I used Comer also and was very pleased. He made a second trip after some work was correct for no additional charge.

The Village Home Inspector
 

We used The Village Home Inspector. He went through everything, and explained as he went.

He also uses a Infrared Camera on all the outside walls and ceilings, it should gaps in the insulation, that had to be taken care of.

Price is about the same as the others.

Computerized so we didn't have to wait for the report.
