Sestak affair....

I dont know about this thing. Sestak has told the same story for months. The White House has avoided the story for months.

I try to just forget it, but you know...seems to me that either Sestak is lying and will thus need to drop out of the race and perhaps lose his seat OR someone in the White House is in BIG trouble, and it would seem to me that if in fact the job offered was Secy of the Navy, the President is involved...or at least you would hope that the President would make the decision on a job like that !

Makes no sense all this silence ...none !

Just wondering !

Guest 05-27-2010 09:11 PM

If the job offer to Sestak is validated and it can be proven the President knew about it .......... well, can you say "IMPEACHMENT".

I getting older; but I'm still a dreamer.

If the president was a Republican the media would have gotten to the bottom of it, a long time ago.

Typical Crook County Politics

What can you expect from the crooks from Chicago?
:agree:

Guest 05-28-2010 07:09 AM

Not possible

Never will Democrats impeach a Democrat President no matter what he did.

If Republicans take over in November and there is an impeachable finding impeachment will not happen because Democrats will gang up and support the lies as they did with Clinton.

Sestak is telling the truth

I believe Sestak is telling the truth. When the Obama administration comes out with their explanation, I believe it will be a lot of words that will twist the truth, so nothing will ever come of it. Remember Clinton and "the meaning of is, is?"

:agree::agree::agree:

I absolutely agree with every comment thus-far made.

Today demonstrates perfectly how the QH, Obama,

Bill Clinton, Rammit Manuel operate.
Such a coincidence there is no news on the subject for day. Obama and Clinton have lunch and out comes the explanation with Bill saying he did it. And that the position was a non compensated one, and who said what to whom and especially emphasizing who was not involved like the WH/Obama.
Now is that not a coincidence?
No I call it what it is. Lawyer politicians who know how to manipulate what was really said and done so as to either make use of the law or hide behind it and with a straight face pretend they are not lying.

Remember lawyers are trained to manipulate words and the law to their advantage. How else could they in good conscience defend murderers and rapists and terrorist, etc.

And nobody is curious why Sestak would give up a lucrative political seat with comp and perks for a non compensated job.

Once again politicians going their merry way doing what ever needs to be done to suit their purpose(s). And the naieve we the people suck it up with no consequences.

btk

PS in the heading it is supposed to be the WH no QH

I agree btk.

And, I think Sestak was telling the truth before, but now feel he is no longer.

Now, his reputation, imho, is damaged, because he failed to tell the whole truth. You never know how his voters feel. He had to wait until he was told what to say. Other than the damage to his reputation, I still do not think anything will ever come of the whole thing. And, he will probably win the election.

Like it or not, this kind of dealing goes on all the time in politics by both parties at the federal, state and local level. It's not pretty but it's not new. No amount of angst or outcry will stop it. It's not illegal and certainly not grounds for impeachment. Let us not allow ourselves be distracted by partisan gamesmanship on this. There are bigger issues that really affect all of us: Gulf oil spill, two wars, a lethargic economy, important upcoming races in Florida.

Yep...reluctantly agree with you but will always think and ponder why it took so many weeks/months to tell the truth, this tranparent administration...just the beginning however..there will be more !

Guest 05-28-2010 07:13 PM

There is nothing partisan in wanting to know why a person

would consider leaving a job he has aspired to his entire life for a 'WH' no compensation position.
Secondly, what thinking was behind the originator of the proposal.

And lastly please remember the chronic credibility of at least one of the players...the one who declared not having had sex with that woman.

Yes, this goes on all the time....except the ones that get caught or in this case, potentially broken the law.

The entire process is another testimony to Obama saying words for effect before the election when he intended to change politics as usual in Washington. As stated by journalists today he has not only embraced business as usual in Washington, he has increased the intensity and sometimes risky/gravity of the deals.

And oh by the way it is not what we the people expect or condone.
This too can be handled in the election booth in all coming elections...do not vote for an incumbent.

It is illegal

This act by the white house is illegal.

You cannot, however impeach a Democrat or anyone from the Chicago Regime.

The law on the issue is as clear as any law ever written.

Actually; it is illegal if the allegations prove out, and this bribe could only have come from Rohm Emmanuel, and if the President knew about it he is complicit in the crime and indeed liable to Impeachment.
