A less pricey form of health care.
An interesting concept.

I love it. But, getting the Federal Government out of health care, or anything else in the economy, is fantasyland. It will never happen. Their prices for surgeries may be low, but the vast majority of our population could not even afford their prices. And, the cost for a surgery represents only a tiny percentage of the total cost for an individual's overall health care. What about drug prices?

Their prices are not low. I looked them up and they are equivalent to what an insurance company would negotiate. Why would anyone with insurance, or Medicare, go there if they do not accept insurance? (p.s. Medicare reimbursement averages 42% of billed charges.)
|
Their pricing is not affordable by anyone who WOULD have health insurance. With my health insurance, my ACL surgery was $150. That's it. A hundred and fifty dollars, total. According to their chart, they charge $6,790 for the same procedure, and they aren't accepting insurance. Rich people can afford to pay that. Everyone else has insurance, or goes without.
