Shell gas station closed at Colony

From the online news site: "The station on County Road 466A at the far eastern edge of The Villages abruptly shut down last week after the longtime operator reportedly opted not to renew his lease in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown."

I understand there is gas available across 466a at Walmart.

Shell has been bailing out of villages property. If lucky at that location circle K might move in like they did north of 466.

You are correct! Hoping Chef Don finds a new home nearby soon! Best burger in TV. And, lake perch!!

Rumor has it 7-11 is coming in!

Actually that Colony gas station is not on Villages property. TV sold that to a company in St Petersburg in 2007 for $1.5M

Thats not a rumor....will reopen as a 7-11. No info published yet about Burgers.

Probably closed because of the same reasons other businesses close, not enough profit

More like he (the gas station owner) had an out and took it. I assume $$ was involved.
