Curious if anyone has rented from Brian Feldman of Palm Rentals. We're going to rent a Hadley home from him and just want to be sure before we send money to him!

Not sure who Palm Rentals is or where they are located. There are a lot of rental agencies and individuals who rent out properties in and around TV. I would use the indepentant rental group who is a sponsor of this site. They advertise on the left sidebar. Some of us in this forum have places for rent and are a part of the group sponsoring the ads.

Let the buyer be aware.

There is a person by that name living in TV, so I would say that they would be just fine. If mailing deposit within TV, should be very legit.

I'd find out if they were licensed. Property managers/rental agents need a Florida real estate license unless they were grandfathered in by being property managers before the law was changed. If they're not licensed, I'd be a little hesitant since you have no real recourse if things don't go right. At the same time, I do believe that most who do do property management do have what they offer even if not licensed.

As was said, you can easily rent directly from the homeowner. There is some risk but I've only heard of one renter who had some legitimate complaints renting from villages4rent -- the home was not well-maintained, the cart was in poor condition and nothing was really as promised. However, most renters have been quite pleased with the homes they have gotten, at least from overhearing conversations and just talking to monthlhy renters.

Thank you Gomerpyle & redwitch...so helpful to get input! The guy was referred through our sales agent at TV and does actually live in Amelia. Our problem was finding a rental just for the month of March and Brian had that. Most owners want 3 months in high season. We will give all your input serious thought! Thanks again! Love TOTV. Yes I do know Brian he is a very nice guy to do work with. He has been doing property management for awhile in TV.
