RAIN in The Villages.

As most know, with lots of lightning and hail Tues about 2" wetness, and yesterday another almost 2", and right now- more heavy stuff.

NOT complainin'. All good for the green stuff. NOT good for car washes, outdoor rec stuff and golf. But that time of year in FL.

Noah, neighbor down the block is taking it seriously...

Too bad there is not a way :ohdear: to put all the rain we are getting now BACK into the irrigation water system, and get a check for the "un-usage" amount! :coolsmiley:

Does anyone remember the year we had NO RAIN, not a drop. I think it must have been around 2006-ish. We were new residents and had moved from northern NH where we had plenty of rain and then to suddenly be plunged into a desert was very scary. The retention ponds were drying up and the yards were just dust.

Give me the rain .........................

I've also lived in Scotland for a couple of years where it rained every day, cold hard driving rain, usually with a driving wind that turned the umbrella inside out. I'll take our climate any day.

I keep my yard and landscaping green so every day that the sprinklers are off is a blessing and money staying in my pocket.

Great to hear. Make it green!

I don't mind it but it is traumatizing my dog.

I lived there from 1963 to 1965 and don't remember the roads ever dry.

I told my husband I would stop complaining (to him) about the rain. But I’m really tired of it. Really, really tired of it.
