"Upward Bound" Club meets Thurs June 10
 

The 'Upward Bound' club meets Thursday, June 10 - details below! This month we will do a special 'Law of Attraction' activity. All Villagers and their guests are welcome; no need to call in advance.

Location: Laurel Manor Recreation Center - Monroe Room

Anyone is welcome to join others in the club for lunch afterward at Crispers - make some new positive-minded friends of a kindred spirit!

The Upward Bound Club will meet the second Thursday of each month, 10:30 AM - 11:50 at the Laurel Manor Recreation Center - Monroe Room.

Schedule change (due to Freeda's unavoidable travel plans): We will NOT meet in July, as our summer 'break'. We will meet in August (August 12).

For the June 10 meeting, read for discussion all prefaces and through chapter thirteen, "The Brain", of the book Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill; available at all bookstores and libraries; and available free online at

Please bring: a posterboard (or any 'Vision Board' that you have already started), glue stick, scissors, and any magazines that you can donate for cutting up to make Dream Boards - travel, luxury, and lifestyles magazines are especially great, but bring any that you have!

The club meetings will study material from great thinkers, such as Denis Waitley, Jim Rohn, Einstein, Trump, J. Paul Getty, Vince Lombardi, Goethe, and others; group discussion; intriguing, or fun, interactive or self-improvement activities; socializing; and guest speakers at some meetings.

This month we will also continue watching the movie "The Secret", about the law of attraction; we will watch a segment each meeting until we have seen it all.
