Golf Legend Nancy Lopez Coming to The Villages
 

Golf legend Nancy Lopez is returning to The Villages on Saturday, August 17th for a charity event. The event will be for Adventures in Movement (AIM), a nonprofit that aims to find ways to help people with disabilities reach their highest potential through movement. Lopez serves as chair of the National Ambassadors to AIM, and plans to be at the Legacy Restaurant at Lopez Country Club from 3 pm-9 pm.

Lopez has acted in support of AIM since 1981, and has held annual golf tournaments to raise money for AIM. In 2003, Lopez moved her annual tournament to The Villages, and it has been held here since. This year marks the 39th Annual Nancy Lopez/ AIM Golf Tournament.

The 39th tournament will be held from October 5-7, and will include some notable faces such as PGA golfer Chris DiMarco, Kelly Tilghman, Sue Powers, among others. The three day event will include a party for all attending golfers, an auction, and a round of golf at the Lopez Legacy Country Club. All proceeds from the events will go to AIM.
