We are here - sort of...
 

In case I forgot to mention it, we are here. Sort of. I am anyway.

We closed electronically last week, came to the walk through Wednesday, and did the getting inducted thing at the sales office (I assume they implanted a chip to make us smile like everyone else here) after then walk through.

Sharon went back to N. Florida to fish with the contractors there getting our old place ready for the market, and I stayed here and began working with contractors.

So far Wednesday:

Solar Guys did our attic ventilation.
Jackson Handyman did our garage stairs and storage area
Decorative Concrete start the concrete painting work
Spectrum install our internet.

More to come this and next week...

About 1/4 of our new furniture has been delivered - if you read my post on Macy's you know where the other 3/4's of it is - in limbo someplace with no scheduled delivery at this point.

So, I am living on pizza, fresh fruit and canned soup...

Sure will be happy when Sharon moves down next Wednesday and we can start our new life here in earnest.

Welcome to The Villages, sorry for the Macy's screw-up. This will be the low point and everything else will be wonderful.

Great idea documenting your progress in moving to TV. Darn! I forgot to take a photo of our first breakfast... but we didn’t have any furniture then, just stood by the counter at the time. Because hubby likes to eat, the first piece of furniture he got was stools for under the counter.

Pretty much same here, I have a small laptop desk (got keep our priorities sorted!) with a chair, and that was it until today when a couple end tables and a coffee table showed up. Here is our living room set, we mostly just stand around the end tables.

Oh, and I picked up an inflatable bed - LOL.

Thanks, I sure things will get better. And I am not going to let Macy's ;ruin the awesome experience of moving to TV. :)

Most of us love The Villages - we bought our home in 2007.
Once you get settled, I'm sure you and your wife will find The Villages an awesome place to live.
And welcome to TOTV. I look forward to your posts.

You need to eat a little better. Canned soup, pizza is going to get old fast.

I will once my wife is here. I cook well for us, but not so good for myself :)

We live in separately for part of the year. I started out eating badly, but now make healthy food everyday. The sodium was killing me. You will fall into a better routine, living alone for awhile puts things in perspective
