Stupid Thief

I had 3 squares of astro turf under my hose reel, totally invisible from the street. Looked out and saw my hose reel was moved, and 2 of the squares were gone. I would have given them to him if he had asked. He didn't even have the courtesy to put the hose reel back where he found it. What a dunce. If anybody wants the other piece, it's yours, or it goes out with the trash.PM me.:ohdear: I have a general idea who took it, just not worth the effort to confront him.

Stupid Thief, is that not an oxymoron?

Kenswing 09-09-2019 09:53 PM

Stealing from a former LEO isn't exactly a display of higher intelligence either.. lol

What kind of nut steals turf from someone else?

Oxymoron: a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction. Stupid Thief is not an oxymoron.

Why not take the third piece and just leave it outside your suspects front door?
If your suspicions are correct, a subtle message has been left.

Love the last recommendation.

Great reply! :coolsmiley: I would probably have to have the last word and leave a big note saying "YOU LEFT ONE".

Stupid is the operating word.

We had one brick taken from the edge of the flower bed. And one bush too.

A few weeks after we moved in to the Village of Charlotte in 2012, someone performed a nozzle-ectomy on the garden hose we had outside the garage. So, we attached a new spray nozzle. A few days later the replacement disappeared. After the third one vanished, we decided it wasn't smart to leave the hose and nozzle outdoors, so into the garage it went. We were lucky. A couple of other neighbors lost their complete hose and nozzle. Apparently there was someone in the neighborhood with a rubber hose and spout fetish. Maybe they needed them to finish out their collection. Didn't notice nozzles listed in the classifieds and luckily no more have disappeared since.

Nothing surprises me any more. Wouldn't you like to catch the scumbag thief in the act? :boxing2:

Just out of curiosity, if you did catch someone...what is it that you would do?
