2 Medicare telephone scams in one day
 

Both foreign sounding people from "Medicare." One was sending a shoulder brace and gave our address in which to delivered it to. I said No; then asked the name of the doctor that ordered it, he stated it was a 'medicare' order, I said No again and he hung up.
A few hours later, it was "Medicare" calling about a back problem. This time, they received the hang up!
And yes, I did block the phone number with my land line.

I am now getting on average a dozen junk calls a day on my landline. I never pick up if I do not recognize the number. A few leave voicemails which tend to be incomplete 'Call this number...'. Still get the Chinese language VMs which have pleasant background music playing. Oh well...

A few savvy people have recorded some hysterically funny false IRS and Computer virus calls on Youtube. I found them exceptionally entertaining.

They have been active lately, it seems the more numbers I block the more I get.

I have a landline that I never use. It's just to make my Comcast bundle cheaper. I only answer when I'm in the mood to play with the scammer. Its fun sometimes. Every one I've ever answered is a scam. No one, including me, knows this phone number. I enjoy toying with these idiots once in a while.

It would be interesting to call comcast and ask if they sell their phone number lists. Bet they do !!

I have a Comcast landline phone that I only use for outgoing calls. I never get any incoming calls, so I don't think they are selling my number.

IF you don't recognize the number, DON"T ANSWER THE PHONE!
