Need advice, GE dishwasher
 

I have a patio villa with a GE dishwasher, original, house built in 2006 in Caroline. If I bump against the push button controls (all flush with the door), the unit beeps every 8 minutes or so. There is no "turn off" button, no matter what button I push, it continues on beeping. It's a Quiet Power 1. Anybody know the trick to make it stop beeping, besides taking it to the dump??? Haha. Also, recommendations for buying a new dishwasher. Thanks.

I had one that did that exact same thing. I did find a way to turn the beep off, but can't recall exactly how. I think there was a reset button or clear button that turned it off.

I have had issues with mine also (not this issue) but I shut off power to it and it resets all the controls. Works for a while. Will be getting a Maytag when I replace.
