Saw Charo at Katie Belle's last night and was amazed at her energy and showmanship. Mary
Jo Vitale opened the show with some Broadway show tunes and didn't disappoint.

Charo studied classical and flamenco guitar under Segovia and wowed the audience with three standards including Ravel's Bolero.

Charo is 68 years old. I use to see her quite often on the Merv Griffin talk show in the afternoons. Here's a photo from '69.

She seems to come to the Villages rather often.

She was supposed to be here in February, but had to cancel due to her husband's death. I think it's been a few years ago since she was last here. Catch her the next time around. Very entertaining.
