Looking for good veteranarian for our cat

We are looking for a good vet that focuses, or specializes on cats. Our kitty is constantly congested with labored breathing. Thanks in advance.

We use Wildwood animal care, Dr. porter, they are located on route 301 in the same shopping center as the ACE hardware, about a quarter mile south of 466a. Very pleased with their care of our cats.

Mulberry Animal Hospital. On Hw 42 at north end of The Villages. Three great female Vets, we use Dr Vance. Our cat had an intestinal infection a couple years ago so Dr Vance referred us to the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital in Gainesville. Absolutely great for diagnosis and treatment beyond the local Vet. They saved his life and he is now well and healthy.

If the vet you find suggests your kitty has an allergy problem, I know an excellent derm vet over in Maitland. As for here, I am a fan of Candice Manganaro at Park Heights Animal Care. She sees both cats and dogs. What I like best about her is her tenaciousness when tackling a pet's health problem.

Another vote for Dr. Candice Manganaro, DVM at Park Heights Animal Care Center, Fruitland Park FL
352-326-9116 We have used her for both our dog and cat and feel she is excellent with treating both. If the problem requires more than the local vet can handle take your cat without hesitation to the University of Florida, Small Animal Hospital, Gainesville Florida. Their number is 352-392-2235
You will not be disappointed with their expertise and care. Gainesville is only 1 1/2 hour from The Villages. FYI they have an emergency department that is open 24/7.

I vote wholeheartedly for Dr. Porter. He has cats of his own and some even roam the clinic. Animal Center of Wildwood. not a fancy place but he's a very good vet that has a common sense approach. will not try to gouge you money wise. I have recommended many people to him and all have been happy. 352-748-6348.

We love our cats but find that vets in The Villages try to "upsell" you. We were told our kitten should be seen by a feline cardiologist.($700) We declined. Bootsie is four now and very healthy.

I would like a vet we can trust but doesn't gouge you.

You will love her, especially if your kitty comes up with anything mysterious. When the UF vet people were drawing a blank on our guy and only wanting more and more testing, she researched and came up with three possible solutions, one of which worked. So I can attest to the fact that her determination to help your pet is relentless. And she does not hesitate to suggest a specialist if she thinks one is needed. The derm vet she sent us to was the answer to Crosby's terrible allergies. And her work on our senior fosters has been great.

Needless to say, she's my hero.

PS: To Gracie, she loves cats and has some of her own.
