Entertainment Cancellation Announcements?
 

Is there a web page or someplace else where TV announces if entertainment has been cancelled?

I realize they rarely cancel far in advance in case weather conditions change, and that's fully understandable. I just wondered when it does become necessary to cancel, is there a place to find out before potentially wasting a trip?

The Villages Daily Sun App on your phone can be set to give you an Alert.

And that app will tell you when Nucky leaves the Bubble.

Use this link for the webcams, it's all you ever need. Each scene can be made full screen in the lower right corner if needed. As far as cold weather, the entertainment will be cancelled if the temp will be below 47 degrees. They made an exception one year, about 2013 we went to Brownwood for New Year's Eve and Cactus Jack was playing, it was very cold and the stands were only about half full, but they played until 9pm.

I have an iPhone. Just go into your App Store and type in the villages daily sun mobile. Once you go to set it up it prompts you to send you notifications. Just choose that option. Lemme know if you need a hand. We'll get it done. :coolsmiley:

The might also have it on the radio station. Of course any drive in the golf cart is not wasted, always plenty of other things to do. I had plans to go to the vendor night and then dinner. When I arrived at 4:30 some vendors were packing up and heading out even after the rain had stopped. The music was ready and some vendors stayed so I was able to order my sign, have dinner and then back home for a nice fire. All was good.

iPhone here also. I had notifications enabled within the app, but they were not enabled in the system Notifications settings for the app. I’ve enabled them. We’ll see if I get the notifications. Thanks. :)
