Judy - 4 Stars
 

I saw "Judy" a few weeks ago and loved it. Renee Zellweger deserves an Oscar nomination for best actress. The movie is a very sympathetic portrayal of Judy and covers about 6 months of the year before she died. There are also flashbacks to the time she was filming "The Wizard of Oz." Just about everyone around Judy used her professionally to make $ off of her talent. If Judy was still alive today, she would be 97. I didn't realize she was only 47 when she died.

She really did an amazing job, didn't she.

Theater auditorium for "Judy" was completed full this afternoon.
 

They had a full house at the Tuesday $5 showing of Judy today. This was at the Rialto.

Great acting by Renee Zellweger. Might get her another Oscar nod even if I found the story rather depressing.

Congrats to Renee on winning the Golden Globe for her role as Judy.

This is a TV movie starring Tammy Blanchard as the young Judy and Judy Davis as the more mature Judy. I enjoyed this TV movie much more than the theatrical release starring Renee Z.

YouTube has this TV movie in 3 parts. Judy Garland's vocals are used in this movie. The recreations of some of Garland's famous movies are amazing.......

She will probably get the Oscar too as the Golden Globes are a good predictor for both Academy Award nominations and wins.
