PPO Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

I will be moving to TV in January.
Looking for recommendations for a PPO with BCBS of Michigan.
I can see many on a list of providers, but know nothing about them.

Call Mid Fl Insurance located at Palm Ridge Plaza off CR 466. They are the approved BCBS of The Villages

Go on the the website for SIMED....Southeast Integrated Medicine.
I have PPO BC/BS of Massachusetts and they took that.

I have BC/BS PPO from Pa. (now Highmark) I went on the website for my carrier, signed in, and was able to look for Drs. in my area (The Villages) to see who was in network. I was surprised how many were. I was told BC/BS is accepted by anyone accepting Florida Blue.
You will find the people working in The Villages to be helpful and delightful to speak with to answer any of your questions...just call and ask.

In addition, if a Dr. sends you for tests or procedures, don't forget to check to make sure they are in network too...you don't need any surprises when it comes to billings.

Sorry to say, but The Villages Health does not accept BC/BS unless it is Florida Blue. I'm from NH with Anthem BC/BS Medicare Preferred PPO and I was turned down at TVH because they are not recognizing outside BC/BS from other States. They will be taking Advantage Plans only if it is through Florida Blue as of Jan 1, 2020. I am hoping that TVH will get on the bandwagon and start to accept ANY BC/BS as many of us are permanent transplants from other states and we may actually like our current health plan. IMO I would prefer TVH because I can receive labs, xrays, specialists, etc. at one location and not have to hop around TV for these services because one place takes my plan and one doesn't. This was my recent experience. I hope anyone out there has better luck! Stay well!
