Only counts if you're in the US!

I got a $400 40" Vizio tv for free from Amazon because they failed to deliver it within two days (twice) and I persistently but politely complained to customer service about having to twice cancel electrician and AV guy to come hang it. I was hoping for a discount, but they exceeded my expectations.

Buy another one - the ink is probably worth $20!

Several years ago I ordered the Fisher Price battery operated Frozen Jeep for my grand niece. Walmart shipped a 72 inch Flat Screen HDTV instead. They refuse to pickup the TV and resend the jeep. My nephew kept the $1800 TV and bought a jeep. It was amazing they refused to exchange the TV.

Haven't paid for Amazon Prime for 4 years and the 5th year coming up next month is in the bag. Just track their shortcomings and The Customer Disappointments they have made during the year and present it to them a few days before renewal day. They have done some underhanded stuff. Selling returned, Used things as New. Doesn't fly in NuckyVille! The list goes on but with every call from a concern that they created get a name and an employee number.

How about the rechargeable batteries that the sell that leak while they are powering keyboards and mouses and clock radios and remote controls and flashlights? They admit the batteries are no good and are happy to credit your account but what about the hardware they have ruined? My problem, I think not. They paid up every penny from the stuff they ruined with poor quality batteries.

I've about had it with Amazon. It was great for years. Supporting local stores maybe a better choice. We'll see!

The best deals I find are often on TOTV classifieds. I bought a beautiful living room set and a lanai set - looks amazing too. Now I am looking for other stuff and it’s the first place for me.

Me too, love bargains, my mom was a depression kid, past on her thrifty ways to me and it stuck, my husband thinks I'm nuts, giggle.

I think that the best deal you can get anywhere on jewelry is to buy it from Costco. You can buy high quality diamonds, gold and other expensive jewelry from them, and you can return it anytime for a full refund, even 10 or more years later. I don't know any jewelry store that will come close to matching that deal. Most independent jewelers may give you a store credit for about 2 or 3 weeks, but after that, you are lucky to get 10 percent of what you paid.

I have used Vanguard Investments for all of my financial investments for more than 40 years. In my opinion, they are the absolute best and cheapest place to invest your portfolio. And, if you have sufficient assets, they will provide free financial planning and advice from Certified Financial Planners. I have never paid commission based sales fees or any fees for investment or financial advice.

Costco diamonds yes! They have their own mines. I admired a Costco necklace $30K in Honolulu very much, in the display.
