Unbelievable! Cars didn't stop for ambulance.
 

The other day an ambulance was stopped at the intersection of 466 and Buena Vista and two cars just kept going through their green light.

unfortunately this is an all too common occurrance here in TV.

And many of the reasons offered for why somebody does not move out of the way are the same as the ones to determine not being allowed to drive at all.

Why was the ambulance stopped at the intersection? Need a little more information.

Why was it stopped at a green light? Did it have lights flashing and sirens on? Was the accident or incident there? Some details are missing here.

I agree we don’t have the full story. Like any other car they have to stop on a red but if it is an emergency they will make enough noise to be noticed. Also in an emergency the usually inch into an intersection and just slow down. If he cam to a full stop then he must have been just driving.

If it's an emergency vehicle with lights on just stop until they continue....you can't be in that big a hurry to hold them up regardless of the traffic light.

Because it could see the cross cars weren't going to stop due to their speed.

Understood but you never stated whether it had lights and sirens on in your OP. If it did not there was no reason legal or otherwise for anyone to let it through as he could have been going for coffee or to have the tires changed. IF IT DID have lights and sirens that's totally another issue but that "fact" was never stated in your OP.

I too was stopped at that light going south on 466. The cars going south on Buenva Vista had the green light. The ambulance came from the fire station behind me and had his emergency lights and siren at top volume. There was no mistaking that "they were going for coffee". When they entered the intersection, two cars going south on Buenva Vista never even slowed down. I remarked to myself in the car that I hoped that when it was their time to need an ambulance that the paramedics would be delayed due to some equally rude drivers.
