Publix failed me this year. Their version was too big and flatish and not the real thing. They also had a look alike that has anise in it ...Pheffernusse. I don't like Pheffernusse. |
My Wife she brightens any Holiday...She's my cookie

Lace cookies. Up north I belong to a cookie exchange. You make 2 dozen cookies, one dozen gets donated for a shelter, other is exchanged. We gather in the summer to review best cookies, add new recipes, make sure there are no duplicates. Best way to have multiple different homemade cookies for holidays.
GG I love those little white cookies, we call them almond snowballs. My recipe comes from from German great grandmother. But no anise either, yuck |
Chocolate chip kiss cookies. My husband's is cranberry almond cookies. The pecan cookies are very easy to make

My better half goes bonkers for struffoli. Taste like honey covered cardboard to me. However her and her siblings make it an annual get together to make these little balls. They do the Christmas sweaters and holiday cheer and eat most of the struffoli they just made before the day is through.
