Water Restrictions Lifted

There is an article in the What's Happening section of www.districtgov.org that states that the water restrictions have been lifted as of 6/30/2010. We can now water two days a week.

Go to:http://www.districtgov.org/happening/index.aspx to read about the particulars and to see your watering days.

It is the sixth topic.

Thank you for that info. Now I've got to check and see what other day I can water.

Check your electrical box in the garage next to the irrigation controller. It should have a sticker that tells you which days to water and how long per station. The bigger issue is figuring out how to reprogram the controller. I wonder why they didn't publish the lifting of water restrictions in the paper?

good ino to know - now, if i just knew which cdd i live in - or if there is even a cdd for the village of silver lake in lake county! i have made myself dizzy viewing various websites and drilling down page by page - so i gave up...i figure i'll just wait for property mangement to call me and tell me i'm doing something wrong! as it is we just water for 20 min per zone [4 zones] twice a week.

Nice of them to remove the restrictions when we're finally getting the rain and won't need to water twice a week. Oh, well, better late than never.

Well yeah ...but isn't all the rain why they were able to lift the restrictions? Kind of a Catch 33.

:ohdear: I did not know there was a restriction. We have been here a month and have watered two to three times a week for the whole month. I will set mine to two days as a result of this String. Would prefer a more official notification in the future. I supose it could have been told to me at closing as well.

On your utility bill in prior months, the restriction is mentioned. Look on the upcoming one, it will probably state the restriction is lifted.

The unfortunate thing is that they refer you to the website or to make a telephone call. There are a lot of people in TV without internet access. I wonder why they did not just print the schedule.

Why do you want to water twice a week? I never do - never have, 13 years and my grass is always green. The roots have to go deeper to get moisture and then it can withstand a drought. Most of the time our sprinklers are shut off. They have been for about a month now. I have Augustine grass.

Good points - there is an irrigation information session that is held (twice a month?) at Colony. We attended even though our house isn't built yet and it was really informative.
