Joe Biden Scares Me

The more he opens his mouth....the more he convinces me that he suffers from senility or some type of mental impairment.

It is not normal (let alone appropriate) for the VP of the USA to address an American citizen (or anyone) as "Smart-ass". Not only was his language vulgar, but he preceded the word (S-A) with: "why must you always be such a ........?"

A rather bizarre comment for Biden to make considering this was his first encounter with the employee at the frozen yogurt store. This latest "slip" is only one of many such remarks that indicate (IMO) something's not quite right with this man.

I am deeply concerned for our country, as there is always the possibility (God-forbid) that Biden could become POTUS during the next three years.

Obama..... quit smoking!

Biden

Sounds like someone needs a hug!

Well, if I were YOU.....I wouldn't try it.....Biden might punch you in the nose!

But I'm sure the "someone" you're referring to is ME....and what this "someone" needs is "anyone" other than Biden........Hubby supplies all the "hugs" this woman needs!!!

Your comment says nothing of the issue raised.

You must be a Liberal because you are bashing the messenger and not discussing the issue. Typical Liberal action.

ideology first. Issues, outcomes or competence is of little importance.

Ideology first?

I thought this was a forum to discuss political issues and the issue I was addressing is the "Mental Stability" of the VP.....and I did make clear that it was my opinion that was expressed.

Furthermore, regarding this post you made yesterday:

I am quoting Dklassen: "all the bums need to be thrown out. Democratic congressman from Calif at his town all meeting this month."

Were you not expressing your own "opinion" of the "competency" of certain politicians?

As the administrator, I think it would behoove you to re-read many of the comments posted on this forum and see just how many personal opinions are expressed in these threads.

Biden is just another example of an action taken, picking

him for VP, to do nothing more than secure a voting block. The example he sets/portrays emphasizes one need not know much of or about anything to get the second slot in the land.

Politics first = party positioning = we the people get short changed....every time.

If you do not wish to discuss issues please do not clutter "political Talk"
with your useless comments.

Cashman,

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

My original post was to express my concern regarding the numerous "odd" remarks made by Joe Biden over the past few years.

If Biden was my parent I would be discussing his behavior (his bursts of anger, etc) with his family physician and closely monitor him for other inappropriate signs which may signal some kind of mental impairment.

Surely, no one can condone the most recent remarks made by "someone" who holds the 2nd most powerful political position (how's that for alliteration!) not only in our country, but the world.

While the media (and his defenders) may find his "off the wall" remarks humorous....I find them disturbing to say the least.

Where's Dr. Rosenfeld when we need him?!!!

You don't need Dr. Rosenfeld to diagnose Biden; or for that matter most in "power" in Washington. The disorder is known as malignant narcissism.

Joe Biden is everything you think he is except for one. "The 2nd most powerful man in the world"? Joe Biden is not even the 2nd most powerful man in the U.S. He's not even the 2nd most powerful man in Washington D.C.

Joe Biden only becomes significant if he is needed to break a tie vote in Congress. Not much chance of that.

He only becomes powerful in the event of the death of the President.

So right now he is merely "comic relief". Although, like you, I'm not in a laughing mood.

I agree with Annabelle. I once thought Biden was a less scary alternative for VP than Palin. Now I'm not so sure.
