Anyone know of plans to show up at the Lincoln Memorial Aug 28? Any buses planned or groups planning on going or meeting up?

On August 28, 2010 come be a part of history by joining Glenn at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial for the Restoring Honor Rally.
Restoring Honor Rally Supports SOWF Come celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage and our future at the Restoring Honor Rally on August 28, 2010. Join us at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. for this non-political, non-partisan rally that will recognize our First Amendment rights and honor the service members who fight to protect those freedoms. Every day servicemen and women risk their lives to protect our country. It is through the support of non-profit organizations like the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF)that the families of these soldiers are taken care of in the event of an accident or loss of life. http://www.glennbeck.com/828/ http://www.specialops.org/ |

I'd really like to go too. My husband will be in Colorda and I'll be on my way to Northern NY for a wedding.

I don't mean to sound snide - but is there a reason that this isn't being held on Memorial Day or Veteran's Day? I'm just wondering where the August 28 date came from.

djplong, that is the date and the location of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s, I Have A Dream speech.

The National Urban League, Al Sharpton, the New Black Panther Party, the NAACP, and other so called civil rights groups are planning "counter rallies" to protest the gathering. It does feel more and more like I've fallen down the rabbit hole.
