Moving a hot tub

Looking for advice as to who might be able to move a hot tub. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Anyone ever move a hot tub?

Need the name of a contractor that could move a hot tub. Thanks!

Empty the water first ... :)

I called the local hot tub company and had them take it away.

I had our hot tub (8' by8') moved about 30 feet, cost $150. Then for other reasons I had to move it again, did it myself. As noted above I emptied the hot tub, then used 8 pieces of 1/2 inch PVC pipe to roll the hot tub to a temporary location. When I was done I rolled it back! Total cost less than $20 for the pipe (which I still have).
On a side note, you may need an electrician to disconnect the power, at an additional charge.
Send me a PM if you want more info on how I did this, or if you are interested in the pipe.

OP, just realized I really did not answer your question, Spa Kingdom moved the spa the first time, as I bought it from them. The neighbors used T&D Pool and Spa service to move theirs, no idea of the cost.

T and D Pool does this.

T & D was the company I used.

We just actually had our spa moved. T&D said it would take 5 guys and the cost would be $100 for each guy. Spa Kingdom sent 2 guys and it cost us $250. Mitchell Moving wanted $350.

Just to be clear we had it moved about 15 feet.

Spa Kingdom moved ours

We had T&D move one for us several years ago.

Tri-County did mine $150, but that was a few years ago

Also moved my own with help of a friend, by rolling on PVC. The tub was heavier than we could lift so we created a simple fulcrum with a block and 2x4 to lift the tub onto the PVC.
