:ho: When they knock on your door tell them they are trespassing on private property. :boxing2: I hope nobody does business with any company that breaks rules.

Another upside to living in the historic section - when the roofers come knocking, a response is: "nah, I'm waiting for the whole structure to cave in, then I'm replacing it with a site-built."

A call to Community Watch should be in order, as well as the local police department. We had the "meat" guy coming around. I managed to get photos of both of them the truck and the license plate, called the police, have not seen them since.

I live in TV and still work. I am in the insurance business. A roofing company told our insured, who lives near Spanish Springs, he had wind and hail damages. We had an engineer inspect the roof. There was damage, but it was described as "mechanical" damage. That is a fancy term when damage is done on purpose. Do not let any roofer "inspect" your roof unless you go on the roof with them. Insurance companies have software that tell them when hail occurred, where it occurred and how large the stones were...

We were approached by a roofing company that said they can replace the roof and we would only have to pay the deductible. They would work with the insurance company and accept what the insurance company paid. You would need to sign an Agreement to Benefits. They also stated if there was a problem, they would pay for the attorney to file suit against the insurance company. Does this sound legit?
