Severe Weather Preparations

While emergency management continues to be a function of the county in which you reside, the District works extremely hard in ensuring the safety of District staff, residents of The Villages and District facilities. In preparation of the potential for severe weather and sustained winds higher than 20 mph, Community Watch is in the process of removing gate arms throughout the community. If you approach a gate in which the gate arm has been removed, please use caution and stop before proceeding. The process of reinstalling the gate arms will begin once the potential for sustained winds has subsided.
