Once again, my husband found a corn snake in the grill. Now we need to start checking before we stick our hand down there!

I always open the door to the tank and raise the lid real slowly of my grill just to make sure a snake isn't in there. :22yikes::22yikes:

Good plan. We also have about 5 ft black snake out back in the bushes.

Will the corn snake actually taste like corn if you grill it up?

Don't agree woodchuck taste like raccoon

If it eats rodents you might want to keep it.

A long time ago a restaurant called Lily Langtry's Restaurant in Southern N.J. served Rattlesnake. It was nothing but glorified chicken. Only more expensive.

We don't have to be afraid of snakes. When was the last time someone reported being bitten? We just have to be aware of our surroundings at all time cause you never know. This post by the OP is a public service announcement and reminder to sharpen up and watch out. SSSSSSSSSS.

I'm always concerned about the area around the cases of water from the Hurricane Supplies.

All of you are really funny! I’d have to be starving before I tried to eat one!

Those boys!!!

Boys never grow up. Years ago a bunch of the forum boys had us all worked up by saying that snakes come up in the toilet. I STILL think about THAT.

It has a gamey taste I believe. Cooking with Delicious Rattlesnake Meat

My friends and I used to hunt rattlesnake. I was the guy in the back of the line with a shotgun and clumsy feet as I had a tendency to bump into rocks. This was around Rattlesnake Mountain in Reno, Nevada which did have a lot of those around. They had got some before I was at the end of their line. Some of these boys had rattlesnake skins up on their walls of their bedrooms rather than Playboy centerfolds and/or posters of bands.

This is the one we found in the grill on 12/16.

Flipped over a trashcan lid used as a birdbath and found a pygmy rattler.

If it has a white throat it is a black racer and you are lucky to have it, they eat EVERYTHING nasty that can be found in your soil, when there is nothing left they move on.
