It make no sense. What does it even mean?

Each house is individually owned by the resident. It's impossible to imagine the Developer closed on hundreds of individual homes. And for what purpose?

Or did the Developer buy the CCC club house and golf course? Again for what purpose? The club house and golf course are surrounded by all those houses. And do you think the current CCC house owners would sit quietly and just let that happen?

Although it's a mildly interesting rumor, it makes no sense to me. Remember ... follow the money. I don't see any financial reason for the Developer to buy CCC.

They haven't purchased other people's problems in the past, buying CCC would definitely be buying someone else's problems. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with or at CCC, the comment is directed at buying any property that would have to maintain and operate instead of plowing it under. Buying an existing facility brings with it all its history and promises that they would have to honor.

The rumor mill is alive and well.

Yes

The mobile/manufactured homes at Continental, look to be about the same age as TV's historical side.

If the rumor proves to be true, will we now have...two historical areas?

I did my best to search Sumter County public records on line to see if I could find a deed transfer for Continental County Club, but could not find anything? If this sale in fact did happen it will be interesting to learn the Developers reasoning for the transaction and how it may effect the Villages. For one thing, it would represent the first addition of Championship golf in a very long time and since many thousands of new homes have been built.

I agree, but if they did buy, did they buy into the whole package?
