Can anyone suggest a good tax preparer? We recently moved here and our tax guy is in Texas makes it a bit cumbersome

We still use our CPA back home. Email all my paperwork, she emails completed forms. We sign and email back.cost me same amount of money, but I don’t have to wait for an appointment. If there is a need Skype works well.

Buy Turbo Tax...incredibly easy and inexpensive...have used since I retired and never had an issue with the IRS.

AARP Tax Aid Colony only does Federal, no state filing.

Why be concerned about State in a state that does not have a State tax?
I’ve volunteered for AARP tax aide up here in North Carolina for 8 years and we do NC tax returns

We have been using the AARP tax service which is offered free. We never had a problem. We make an appointment and go down to Colony Rec Center to have it done, but there are other Rec Centers that AARP goes to also, but I cannot remember which ones.
