Less snarkiness with names
I know I am going to get blasted with this post, just as all posts do but I wonder if there would be less people being snarky and rude and downright mean if we had our names and village as our username instead of hiding behind a made up username.

And your real name and address is? :ho:
|
It doesn't stop some of the people who do post those things now.
|
I’m not gonna blast you. The goal is an admirable one. But it simply ain’t gonna happen.

Could posting all that on a public forum could lead to identity theft?

You wouldn't be able to post that you're heading on a cruise next week - because you'd be setting yourself up for a burglary while the criminals know you're not home. You have to be careful on any forum, but especially on one that is exclusive to a very specific location - that is also available for anyone who is NOT a member to view. |

It's too late to make that happen. However, a computer photo or any recent photo will work as well. However, I'm also post on 3 Villages Facebook pages where most everyone has a photo, a profile and a real name for the most part, and there are still rude, inconsiderate, know-it-all people. What they try to do, is eliminate political posts like this website use to do.

The suggestion is fine.
It of course has certain associated risks, which for the most part can be mitigated with common sense. |
I have no problem with that. Christine Tuttle, Alhambra!
